📌 Smartboard Quick Reference Guide
🟢 1. Switching On
- Turn on the Smartboard: Press the power button on the device or use the remote control.
- Connect your computer: (Check in case of problem)
- USB-C, HDMI Cable connected?
- Don’t forget to check USB cable to enable touch functionality in case only HDMI is connected.
✍️ 2. Touch Function & Pens
- Write directly with your finger or pen.
- Choose colours & tools via the toolbar (e.g. pen, highlighter, eraser, text box).
- Erase:
- Use your palm to wipe (depending on model)
- Or select the eraser tool
🗂 3. Whiteboard Function
- Open the built-in whiteboard tool from the menu.
- Write, draw or insert text.
- Save via “Export” → Save as PDF or screenshot.
🖥 4. Presenting & Sharing Content
- Open images, PDFs or presentations from internet or connected device.
- Zoom, move or scroll using two fingers.
- To show online content:
- Use the Smartboard’s built-in browser
- Or mirror your device’s screen
📱 5. Screen Mirroring / Sharing to other devices
- Wireless mirroring (depending on model):
- iOS: AirPlay or SMART Mirror
⚙️ 6. Useful Features
- Screenshot function → Save what’s on the screen.
- Virtual keyboard → Appears when entering text.
- Split screen view → Show two windows side by side.
- QR code export → Let users download files directly to their tablets/phones.
🧑🏫 7. Tips for the Classroom
- Use interactive activities, save lesson content, annotate videos.
- Invite students to use the board – increases engagement.
- Try timers, stopwatch or random selector tools, if available.
🔄 8. Ready? - Switching Off
- Press the power button, then choose “Power off” or “Sleep mode”.
