Calling with PWA at SIS Switzerland.
Introduction of the Progressive Web App (PWA) as a web application for calls @ SIS CH in the EDGE browser from Microsoft (KW30).
Only if the Teams app is set up as a Progressive Web App (PWA) can we currently work and make calls in several tenants at the same time without any problems.
For this very reason, it is absolutely necessary for SIS Switzerland and all those who have previously used Skype for Business to install the Teams app for telephony as a PWA app as described in these instructions.
We continue to use the local Teams app only for the school client!
As we are working with the school tenant at SIS and now with the KALAIDOS tenant for calls, but both icons would look absolutely identical, it is also important that step 5 (installing a unique APP icon) is carried out as described in the WIKI.
Only then will you find an icon in the start menu or in the taskbar that you can immediately assign to KALAIDOS.
Ruedi Wirz will carry out the PWA installation together with you in a training course - so don't worry - it will work.
If you have more specific questions - “forwarding, answering machine, call waiting, ...secondary ringtone...) then you will find a suitable answer to all these questions on the following wiki page.

For all questions that you cannot solve yourself with the help of these wiki pages and for any problems, please contact help@kalaidos.ch
Once again, it is very important for us to emphasize that we need a clear separation:
- For calls: KALAIDOS Tenant only via Progressive Web App within EDGE (User: sisKALUSER).
- Files, Teams, OneDrive M365 for everyday school life at SIS only on the known school tenant of SIS based on the locally installed Teams app from Microsoft (user: [first name].[last name]@sis-[location].ch).
Anyone who takes this clear separation to heart in everyday SIS work will certainly have no problems with calls and vice versa.
The feedback from other group participants who have already made the switch has been very positive.
So all the best with the change.
